Both website and business are under development, but if you’re an unpublished author and like what you see we’d love to hear from you.
There are dangers these days for both readers and writers.
We’re here to help both of you through the maze.
It’s tough getting your book published these days.
The major publishers aren’t taking on new writers unless they’re dead certs. And they expect your work to be fully ready for publication when you submit it.
How do you achieve that?
Self-publishing is easy now, but doing it well and selling more than 200 copies is hard.
There’s an awful lot of rubbish out there for
the unwary.
We’ll be looking at the rapidly changing world of publishing and some tricks for finding good books. We’ll help you understand e-books - like why the paperback version is sometimes cheaper.
Plus we’ll review stuff we like which is fun and human.
And obviously we won’t publish anything unless it’s ready for market and worth buying.
When you’re starting out it’s good to have someone to guide you. That’s what we do for our authors.
From the start you have your own editor who wants to help you turn your first draft into a good book that is worth buying. You need someone objective and experienced to give constructive feedback and relevant advise.
You’ll also become part of the team, involved and relevant at every stage of the publishing process, including decisions about publicity.
Obviously we provide copyediting, proofreading and design.
We will be publishing each book simultaneously as a UK paperback and in the most popular e-book formats.
We are looking for work that shows significant talent and potential, but may not be up to traditional publishing standards. Yet.
We work with new authors, making them part of a team working towards developing early drafts into books that sell. We also want our readers to be involved in what we do; readers, writers and publishers should be working together.
We offer expertise most authors lack.
Writers: your work needs, in some sense, to be warm, human, fun, and worth reading.
